DEVELOPING SELF-ESTEEM & CONFIDENCE IN PEER INTERACTIONS FOR GIRLS
For children ages 7-9 years
Girl Talk is a program focusing on helping young girls navigate social situations, negotiate peer interactions, and develop healthy friendships by targeting self-esteem, communication, and self-advocacy skills. Through the use of direct instruction, paired with multiple opportunities for practical application of learned skills, girls will learn the skills they need to successfully navigate the social world. Themed days, such as mock birthday parties or sleepovers, provide safe and motivating opportunities for girls to learn and grow. This program will include social communication and sensory motor activities in the sensory gym, games, art and concepts from curriculums such as Social Thinking and Zones of Regulation through a neurodiversity-affirming lens.

- Peer perspective taking
- Developing and maintaining friendships
- Conversation skills
- Teamwork & Problem solving
- Developing sensory-based strategies help manage stress/worries
- Developing negotiation, sharing and game skills with peers
Location: Cary
When: Thursdays, 4:00-5:00pm
Dates: June 15th – August 24th (OFF week of July 4th)
Total Cost: $900
This club is not billed through insurance.

Children are expected to attend every session (barring illness), as the sessions build on each other and group dynamics are an important component. You will not be reimbursed for missed sessions.
