  • NLA Trained Clinician (Natural Language Acquisition for gestalt language processing)
  • Implementing high-tech augmentative/alternative communication (AAC) systems
  • MBSImp protocol for dysphagia diagnostics
  • Early Start Denver Model for therapy
  • Experience working with children with diagoses such as ASD, Expressive/receptive language delays, apraxia of speech, developmental delays, social communication disorders, Cerebral Palsy, and Down Syndrome
  • Voice diagnostics and therapy, dysphagia with trach/vent management, motor speech therapy, language therapy, and cognitive communication interventions

Aarthy is an Indian-American speech-language pathologist who completed her undergraduate degree at The University of Texas at Austin (Hook ‘Em Horns!), and received her Master of Science degree from The Callier Center, at The University of Texas at Dallas in 2018. She has a broad range of clinical training and experience, including working in adult acute care hospitals, NICU, adult inpatient rehabilitation, adult outpatient rehabilitation, and pediatric early intervention in home health. She has training in the MBSImp protocol for dysphagia diagnostics, and is passionate about evaluating and treating feeding/swallowing disorders in medically fragile populations. She is so excited to join the Emerge team to provide individualized care focussed on maximizing function and independence, for each child and family! Aside from being an SLP, Aarthy is also trained in Bharathanatyam (a classical Indian dance form), and enjoys choreographing and performing on stage. She lives with her husband and cat, Beau, and loves outdoor adventures and cooking delicious vegan food!
