Erica was born and raised in Michigan. Growing up in a Polish-American home, she spent much of her childhood alongside her great-grandparents. She developed a passion for speech therapy when helping her great-grandmother who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Erica loves connecting with children and elders, the “bookends of life.” She went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2017 at Missouri State University.  Erica has worked in pediatric clinics, schools, and home health prior to joining Emerge in 2022. She specializes in early childhood development (birth to five) and implements play-based, multi-sensory, and family-centered approaches. At the heart of her work, Erica focuses on tuning into the rhythm of the child and nurturing a trusting relationship. She has developed and led many infant and toddler programs that focus on early language skills, play, regulation, school readiness, and social-emotional development. In her free time, Erica enjoys spending time outdoors, learning to sail, and being with family!
