Whitley is originally from Charlotte and recently set down roots in Durham with her husband, 2 children, and 2 rescue pups. She attended Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC, graduating with a BS in Anthropology and a minor in Business Administration and Law. After 9 years in the Early Childhood Education field, Whitley is transitioning into a different service role, currently studying toward her MSW at UNC-Chapel Hill. As an AmeriCorps alum, Whitley enjoys partnering with and learning from children and their families. Her hobbies include reading, cooking, and traveling with her family!
