Krafty Kids Carrboro – Spring 2025
DEVELOPING EXECUTIVE FUNCTION, FINE MOTOR, SOCIAL PROBLEM SOLVING AND COOPERATIVE SKILLS THROUGH ARTS AND CRAFTS, BAKING, NEEDLEPOINT, FINGER KNITTING AND MORE!
For children 8-10 years old (This is flexible!)
Krafty Kids is a program focusing on helping children navigate social situations, work cooperatively with peers, and develop executive functioning skills, such as: organization, task planning, time management, and completion of complex activities. Through the use of direct instruction, paired with opportunities for practical application of learned skills and strategies, children will develop the skills they need to work cooperatively with peers and successfully complete complex tasks.
Goals: Develop strategies for

- Peer perspective taking
- Problem solving within a group context
- Executive functioning skills related to planning, praxis, sequencing and organization
- Tolerating challenges during project-based activities
- Cooperative play, teamwork and peer negotiation
Location: Carrboro
When: Wednesdays, 4:00-5:00pm
Dates: February 3 – May 30 (Monday clubs through June 2 due to Memorial Day Holiday)
Total Cost: $1,530
This club is not billed through insurance.

Children are expected to attend every session (barring illness), as the sessions build on each other and group dynamics are an important component. You will not be reimbursed for missed sessions.
