Speech-Language Pathologist (Cary Location):

We are looking for that “just right fit” for our Cary team! Emerge is seeking a dynamic, experienced Speech / Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team full time! Pediatric experience is required. The ideal candidate would have experience working with children with Autism, Apraxia, and be trained in DIR/Floortime, SOS Approach to Feeding, and/or Orton Gillingham.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience

  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to think on your feet
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to multi-task

School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (Durham area):

We are looking for that “just right fit” for our Durham team! This hybrid Speech Therapist will have a passion for working with children and families in a supportive, collaborative, and fun environment, and to enhance the lives of those we serve and the families who love them through improving the clients’ functional level. This therapist will fulfill our community school contracts as well as providing some in-clinic support outside of the school year.

  • Thorough and timely evaluations 
  • Upholding the reputation of the company by carrying out highly beneficial treatment sessions 
  • Educating clients/families on the plan of care so that carryover and consistency are achieved 
  • Therapy completed in a fun, creative way that adheres to guidelines of best practice
  • Accurate charges submitted in a timely manner

  • Completing discharge summaries at the conclusion of care
  • Seeking parent recommendation(s) and/or review(s)

Pediatric Occupational Therapist (Carrboro Location):

We are currently looking for the “just right fit” for our Carrboro team!  If you feel like you might be a good fit for Emerge, we encourage you to submit your resume below. Work experience in an outpatient pediatric therapy practice is a plus. A firm understanding of working with children with sensory processing differences, Autism, and behavioral challenges are a must.

Client Relations Coordinator (Cary Location):

We are looking for a flexible, warm, and welcoming person to be the first face to greet our clients as they enter the clinic. Some other job requirements and duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Scheduling clients
  • Developing and managing client charts and records
  • Requesting and monitoring scripts and insurance approvals
  • Directly calling clients and other service providers
  • Purchasing clinic supplies
  • Collecting and entering payments
  • Maintaining an orderly waiting room
  • Acting as a client satisfaction liaison
  • Tracking no-shows and handles attendance issues
  • Supporting therapy staff by entering reports into the Medicaid system
  • Helping maintain a safe, friendly and welcoming clinic
  • Building rapport with families
Community Engagement Coordinator:

We are seeking an energetic, organized, multi-tasker to be our Community Engagement Coordinator for our Cary, Carrboro, and Durham regions. The ideal candidate for this position would enjoy being out in the community building relationships and helping families make connections to our services!

Some of the duties and responsibilities of this position include:

  • Surveying wants and needs of referrers, and relaying data to Executive Director for possible program development
  • Ongoing referral relationship developed through face to face meetings
  • Identify, report and repair any harmed relationship
  • Identify all potential pediatric community partners in targeted areas
  • Maintenance of a list of active community partners with data to support collaborative efforts
  • Investigation of charitable fundraising opportunities
  • Seek out expos, charitable walks, and other community events where Emerge could participate
  • Establish/maintain each community partner as a consistent referral program

This position requires reliable transportation and the ability to drive to multiple provider offices in our service area.

Therapist Duties and Responsibilities

Some of the duties and responsibilities for therapist positions include:

  • Maintain appropriate documentation per company standards
  • Provide high-quality evaluations and therapy sessions appropriately
  • Maintain excellent caregiver communication and relationships
  • Follow up with client and/or caregivers following evaluation to ensure understanding and recommendations via phone conversation or in person
  • Maintain the physical capacity to engage with highly active children throughout a workday
  • Be willing to participate in both clinic and community events (such as: parent education workshops, resource fairs, parent support groups, walks, expos, conferences, etc.)
  • Report stats, submit session charges, and complete paperwork in a timely manner
  • Contribute to content for blog/social media posts as appropriate
  • Assist with clinic maintenance, as needed
  • Participate in quarterly and annual reviews with thoughtful reflection and forward thinking towards goals for the next quarter and/or year
  • Participation in the Clinical Ladder in order to further develop personal and professional goals
