About Emerge:

 

Who are we?

Emerge is a fast-paced, fun-loving, leader in the Triangle area for pediatric occupational, speech, and physical therapy!

What do we do?

Emerge provides therapeutic services to support the children and their families in our community.   We empower caregivers to help their children develop into confident children.  We also support our therapists!  We want to see our therapists grow in their careers.

Where are we going?

We have expanded in the last 3 years.  Since 2020 we have opened two additional locations.   Emerge is a growth-driven company.  Our future goals are many and include expanding our team, further developing our team’s specialty skills, and becoming the #1 sought-after pediatric clinic for both clients and employees.

Current Staffing Needs:

 

Speech-Language Pathologist (Durham Location):

We are currently looking for the “just right fit” for our Durham team!  If you feel like you might be a good fit for Emerge, we encourage you to submit your resume below. A firm understanding of working with children with sensory processing differences, Autism, and behavioral challenges are a must. Work experience in an outpatient pediatric therapy practice is a plus. 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience (preferred)
  • Interest in Feeding Therapy or Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy
  • Motivated to grow a caseload
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to think on your feet
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to multi-task
  • Motivated by numbers and bonuses
Occupational Therapist (Carrboro Location):

We are currently looking for the “just right fit” for our Carrboro team!  If you feel like you might be a good fit for Emerge, we encourage you to submit your resume below. Client Relations Coordinator (Durham  and Carrboro Locations):

We are looking for a flexible, warm, and welcoming person to be the first face to greet our clients as they enter the clinic. Some other job requirements and duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Scheduling clients
  • Developing and managing client charts and records
  • Requesting and monitoring scripts and insurance approvals
  • Directly calling clients and other service providers
  • Purchasing clinic supplies
  • Collecting and entering payments
  • Maintaining an orderly waiting room
  • Acting as a client satisfaction liaison
  • Tracking no-shows and handles attendance issues
  • Supporting therapy staff by entering reports into the Medicaid system
  • Helping maintain a safe, friendly and welcoming clinic
  • Building rapport with families
Therapist Duties and Responsibilities

Some of the duties and responsibilities for therapist positions include:

  • Maintain appropriate documentation per company standards
  • Provide high-quality evaluations and therapy sessions appropriately
  • Maintain excellent caregiver communication and relationships
  • Follow up with client and/or caregivers following evaluation to ensure understanding and recommendations via phone conversation or in person
  • Maintain the physical capacity to engage with highly active children throughout a workday
  • Be willing to participate in both clinic and community events (such as: parent education workshops, resource fairs, parent support groups, walks, expos, conferences, etc.)
  • Report stats, submit session charges, and complete paperwork in a timely manner
  • Contribute to content for blog/social media posts as appropriate
  • Assist with clinic maintenance, as needed
  • Participate in quarterly and annual reviews with thoughtful reflection and forward thinking towards goals for the next quarter and/or year
  • Participation in the Clinical Ladder in order to further develop personal and professional goals
