With so many great events happening both at Emerge and in our community, how will you keep track? Use our calendar to help discover all of the resources that Emerge and the Triangle have to offer.
Emerge hosts a variety of events at the clinic including therapist-led roundtables, parent education classes, resources fairs, and structured play-dates! This calendar will also keep our Emerge families up to date on the start of our social skills groups, and changes in our clinic operating hours.
In addition to what is happing at Emerge, you will also be able to find other activities and resources for parents and caregivers such as resource fairs, sensory-friendly nights, free family events and more!

September 5, 2026(5 events) – Come out to downtown Cary on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a celebration of community, safety, and connection. The Cary Police Department is hosting Public Safety Day, featuring free activities, local agency showcases, interactive attractions, and food trucks along S. Academy Street. Meet the teams from Cary Police and Fire, and connect with representatives from EMS, WakeMed, and other local organizations working to keep our neighborhoods safe. We'll also have a disposal booth where you can drop off unwanted, unused, and expired prescription pills and patches. Please note the collection site can only accept pills or patches. No liquids, needles, or sharps. |

Cheese Raleigh, Sensory Sensitive Sundays are special hours designed to provide children with sensory sensitivities and their families a quieter, more comfortable experience. With dimmed lighting, reduced noise levels, and a calm atmosphere, we’ve made it easier for everyone to enjoy our games, food, and activities in a setting that feels just right.

Each adult can bring up to five children. Durham Community Days take place twice a month. The day of the week varies, making it possible for Durham residents with various schedules to attend. September 13, 2026(5 events) – Explore the Dueling Dinosaurs exhibit (https://duelingdinosaurs.org/) with reduced noise effects and smaller crowds. Please bring any noise-reducing headphones and fidgets you may need! A limited number of Sensory Friendly Bags are available for checkout at the front desk, and a limited number of noise-reducing headphones are available to borrow at the exhibit. Event Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Each year approximately 10,000 visitors come to the Asia Fest (aka the Greater Triangle Dragon Boat Festival) to explore the nearly 100 exhibits and activities such as cultural displays, exciting games, health screenings, unique performances, and of course, the signature dragon boat race. The festival also features a wide variety of delicious foods and delicacies from across the world. – Join us outside Esteamed Coffee on Saturday, September 19th, for our annual Disability Inclusive Fall Market from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm! September 24, 2026(5 events) – Enjoy an evening of exploring nature and connecting with your Apex neighbors! This is a free annual community event held the last Thursday in September during Take a Child Outside Week. Take a Child Outside is an international program that encourages children and adults to spend time outdoors doing fun things and learning about nature together. – This film follows eight autistic non-speakers who found a way to express their voices through letterboard comunication to share their thoughts and feelings. After the program, there will be a Q&A with parents and professionals who have experience with spelling-based communication.
