Introducing our newest parent-consulting program, Mealtime Support and Consulting, led by Gwyn Joyce!

Gwyn Joyce is an Occupational Therapist in Emerge’s Carrboro Clinic who specializes in feeding therapy. Taking her passion for supporting selective eaters by getting to the root of the issue, Gwyn custom built this parent coaching program to be a resource for the whole family to navigate challenging mealtimes together.

Parents & Caregivers who are experiencing mealtime meltdowns, this one’s for you. Here’s your chance to invite an expert to your table for judgement free support and guidance, all from the comfort and familiarity of home.

Gwyneth has experience and training in:

DIR/Floortime
Cranial Sacral Therapy
Feeding: Beckman Oral motor, Tongue tie, Sensorimotor feeding, The CAN-EAT approach
Visual Deficits/ oculomotor skills
Aquatic therapy
She has experience working with many diagnoses including ASD, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, feeding difficulties, oral motor delays, fine motor delays, and visual motor delays

The Mealtime Support and Consulting Program includes

A FREE Consult Call to learn about the program
An extended intake/assessment with Gwyn, so she can learn more about your family’s mealtime experiences, and how to customize your consulting program especially for you!
Three 50-minute sessions catered to your family’s mealtime needs. These will be virtual offerings, bringing Gwyn’s expertise into the comfort and convenience of your home.
These sessions will focus on topics such as:
- Mealtime Challenges you are facing as a family
- Individual differences or preferences that are impacting the family unit
- What regulation looks like at baseline vs. changes at the table
- Workshopping how to present food to best support mealtimes
- Ways to find internal motivations
- How to engage in mealtimes without the use of external rewards and pressure
- And many more opportunities for understanding and growth!
