Jamie was raised in the Triangle area and received their Bachelor’s degree at UNC-Asheville. They then completed their post-baccalaureate at Arizona State University and their Master’s degree at ECU. Prior to becoming an SLP, Jamie has worked in library sciences, research projects, vocational support, group homes, and was a preschool teacher. They also have experience as an SLP working in homes, day cares, public schools, and now at Emerge! Jamie is very passionate about parent education and training families to support their children. In their off time, Jamie enjoys spending time with their family (8 nieces, nephews & niblings), playing guitar, caring for their garden, reading, playing board games, doing crafts, and volunteering. Jamie is also the proud owner of a dog, two jumbo goldfish, and 4 snails–and counting!
