Kalynn is originally from Hendersonville, North Carolina. She moved to the area in 2006 to attend North Carolina State University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Public and Interpersonal Communication. While working as a nanny, Kalynn discovered the benefits of occupational, physical, and speech therapy for children of all ages. This experience sparked her interest in the field and motivated her to enroll in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program at Durham Technical Community College. She graduated in July 2024 with clinical experience in mental health settings, acute inpatient rehabilitation, and at Emerge. One of Kalynn‘s favorite things about occupational therapy is its holistic approach, which helps individuals achieve their goals in a meaningful way.
Outside of work, Kalynn enjoys spending time with family and friends, visiting Disney parks around the world, listening to Taylor Swift, and reading books.
