Mira is a Florida native who relocated to North Carolina in July 2020. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science with a minor in Disabilities in Society from the University of Florida. Inspired by her volunteer work at an outpatient pediatric rehabilitation clinic, Mira went on to receive her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Florida.
Before joining Emerge, Mira gained diverse experience in outpatient pediatric clinics, school-based settings, and early intervention programs, providing services in homes and daycares. She has worked closely with physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, psychologists, and ABA therapists as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Mira’s favorite part about occupational therapy is building strong relationships with the children and families she works with, and finding creative, meaningful ways to support their growth and independence.
Outside of work, Mira enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling, reading, and hiking with her dog.
