Rachel was born in Texas but spent her early years in Switzerland before relocating to North Carolina in 2004. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Biology from North Carolina State University in 2017 and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Pfeiffer University in 2024. Before pursuing her Occupational Therapy degree, Rachel gained valuable experience working with children with diverse needs in educational settings. Her research has focused on parent-teacher communication and its impact on early intervention services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is passionate about utilizing sensory integration and emotional regulation techniques to promote children’s independence in their daily activities. In her free time, Rachel enjoys playing games with friends, reading, taking her dogs for walks, watching nature documentaries, and engaging in various crafts.
