Social Thinking®
A collection of programs used to foster the development of social skills in children as young as 4 years old up through the lifespan.
Social Thinking® was initially developed by Michelle Garcia Winner and today serves as an umbrella term covering a wider variety of programs including: Thinking of You Thinking of Me, Think Social, The Incredible Flexible You, We Thinkers, Social Detective, and Superflex. These programs address a variety of topics within the realm of social skills such as social self-awareness, perspective taking and theory of mind, self-regulation, executive functioning, and social/emotional understanding. They can be used as part of an individual’s therapy session or in a group context. These programs are suited for children who might miss social cues, struggle to share space with others, have difficulty with conversations and making friends, struggle with being flexible or thinking of others, have difficulties participating or working as part of a group or team, and more.
