The Secret to Smoother Days
Most parenting advice treats hard mornings, homework standoffs, and evening meltdowns as problems of attitude or effort.
Smoother Days begins somewhere else. The behavior a parent sees is almost always the nervous system communicating something, and once a parent learns to read that signal, the daily friction starts to make a great deal more sense.
This course teaches parents to look at family life through three connected lenses:
- Sensory processing explains how each person takes in and responds to the world around them.
- Self-regulation, including the co-regulation that passes between a steady adult and a struggling child, explains how a family settles and recovers.
- Executive function explains how anyone manages the long list of things a single day asks of them.
None of these lenses works on its own, and none of them belongs only to the child. They belong to the whole family, parents very much included.

Hey, I’m Brittni!
I’m a a pediatric occupational therapist with over a decade of clinical experience helping children and families navigate sensory processing, self-regulation, and executive function challenges. As the owner and CEO of Emerge Pediatric Therapy and the founder of The Therapeutic Edge Collective, I have spent my career translating complex neuroscience into practical, compassionate support that families can apply in their daily lives.
Smoother Days was born from what I kept hearing from families in the clinic and around my community — that parents understood their child was struggling, but no one had ever helped them understand why, or given them a framework that accounted for the whole family, themselves included.
