Megan is a Cuban-American speech-language pathologist from Miami, FL. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) where she studied Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Disability Studies. She went on to receive her masters from Teachers College, Columbia University. Megan is passionate about providing child-led, play-based skilled intervention.  She believes that focusing on establishing strong relationships with her clients and their families will establish the trust and respect needed to grow.  Megan is also a very sensory-friendly therapist.  She has loved working on an interdisciplinary team to learn from the OT and PT teams to provide well-rounded, individualized plans of care to her clients.  She prioritizes implementing strategies to ensure her clients feel safe, motivated, and attentive to their goals.  Megan loves collaborating with the kids too, encouraging them to be active parts of the therapy team to advocate for their ideas, opinions, and needs.  She LOVES to play!  She can be found crashing into the pillow pit and having scooter races down the hallway, having as much fun as her kids do.  Outside of the clinic, she loves spending time with her family, sharing photos of her pets, caring for her houseplants, and DIY home improvement projects.
