Samantha was born in South Africa where her favorite memories include sitting around a campfire with a warthog sleeping at her feet, and watching monkeys play in her backyard. In her junior year of high school, her family moved to Australia, where she enjoyed snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef and helping her sister take care of injured wildlife. She recently moved to the US, and still gets excited every time she sees a squirrel! She graduated from the University of Queensland in 2016 and has been working in outpatient pediatric clinics in Australia where she loved getting to journey with families as they discovered their child’s unique superpower. She is a big fan of having fun while learning and has a particular passion for using sensory-based strategies to help children and their families make sense of the world around them. In her free time, Samantha enjoys hiking, being at the beach, trying to beat her husband at board games, learning the ukulele, watching Marvel movies, and playing with her nieces and nephew.
