Shannon Preto recently moved from San Francisco, CA where he lived for 18 years. He holds an MS in Occupational Therapy from Dominican University of California and an MFA in Dance from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He has been an occupational therapist for 5 years and has worked within the San Francisco Unified School District.  He was a dancer, choreographer and producer of dance in Chicago, Boulder/Denver and San Francisco for 21 years. He has taken course work through the STAR institute, USC’s Sensory Integration program, and Neuro-development Treatment Association. He is motivated to utilize all of this information – both OT and dance- to support children as they grow, develop and explore the world around them into wholistic individuals who uniquely interact with wonder, curiosity and verve.

“I wanted to include my family to give a context of who I am and who has raised me. I am the infant on the far right in my dad’s lap. I am the third of three in a family of five. My brother is standing and in pants. My sister is standing in pink. My mom is on the left. It’s wonderful and nostalgic to look through my family photos and find one that represents us then as and as we may be now.”
