This event is FREE to attend! We are encouraging all attendees to donate school supplies for our back-to-school "Fill-A-BackPack" drive. See the event images for the list of supplies we are asking for!

Everyone who RSVPS to this event will get a free cup of fresh lemonade! Just show your confirmation to the staff at the DCM lemonade table.

Mini Traffic Garden - Bring Your Own Bike (and helmet)

Bike Durham is transforming ( a portion) of our parking lot into a mini traffic garden where kids and families can learn important bike safety skills, practice navigating traffic scenarios, and gain basic bike maintenance knowledge in a fun, hands-on environment.

We strongly encourage participants to bring their own bikes and helmets are mandantory for any bike riding activity.

The Durham Co+op Deli, Joe Van Gogh, Emily K Center, Letters Bookshop, Commute Friendly NC, and Bike Durham

Live Music - Lakou

From 11 AM to 1 PM, "Lakou" (a sub group of Coezii Collective) will be performing live!

Ice Cream Sampling - The Parlour will be here from 12 PM to 2 PM sampling surprise favorites!

Book Harvest - Thanks to generous donations from Book Harvest NC, all kids will get a new copy of "The Magician's Hat" by Malcolm Mitchell, along with 100+ other free books to choose from.

DIY Kids' Crafts & Activities - Let your creative juices flow at our DIY bookmark station and button making booth!
