Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation is presenting a Community Book Bag Giveaway for local students.
It takes place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Hargraves Community Center, 216 Roberson Street, Chapel Hill.
This is a free event and no registration is required.
In addition to the annual bookbag give away there will be food, free haircuts and braids, activities, live entertainment and more! Bring your lawn chair or blanket and enjoy a day of music, food, and a variety of activities for youth and adults.
