Get ready for Kindergarten with engaging activities and programming to help rising Kindergartners and their families prepare for school. Kick-off to Kindergarten helps rising Kindergartners and their families prepare for Kindergarten with activities that introduce kids to a typical school day. Community partners will be on-site with helpful resources.This is a free event.
Ongoing Activities:
- Take a ride around the block on a WCPSS school bus.
- Practice walking through a pretend lunch line.
- Connect with community resources.
- Create backpack bling.
- Take part in center time and Ready Set Smile.
Scheduled Activities:
- PE Class – 10:30am & 1:30pm
- Storytime – 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm
- Morning Meeting – 11:30am & 2:30pm
- Music Class – 12:30pm & 3:30pm
- IMAX Theater: PBS presents Alma’s Way – Showing every hour on the hour from 10am to 3pm.
